Monthly Report December 2013

1. DIRECTOR’S DESK

Dear Friends,
Greetings to you in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
"It is the blessing of the LORD that makes rich, And He adds no sorrow to it." Prov 10:22
It seems that time is passing faster now than the previous years and there just doesn’t seem to be enough time to cram everything that needs attention into a reasonable schedule.
The month of January has seen the Trust make substantial progress in a number of directions.
World Migrants Day was celebrated at Panagudi. 348 migrants attended this program.
Peace Trust and ADRA – India jointly organized Santhosa Club De-addiction Residential Camp for Srilankan refugees. Eight alcoholic persons attended this camp and definitely it must have transformed their lives.
Alcohol addiction is one of the biggest challenges that our nation is facing. As a result the families of Alcoholics’ children have been thrown into utter poverty, ill health and debt. The children are the most affected and have become vulnerable.
After attending this camp, their life changes and even after three years they still lead a sober life. They in turn bring many alcoholics to the de-addiction camp. Few of them took baptism and attending the church services regularly.  The spouses felt very happy about the sober life of their husbands.
Apart from this residential programme, we are starting a De-addiction Centre by the name of “ Transformation Centre” for admitting alcoholics. We need resources for this.  Your kind and generous help could change their destiny.
This year Rhema project in an innovative way conducted the Veterinary Medical Camp and the community people got benefitted through this camp.
To know many more activities….. please flip through the pages.
We must continue to develop and progress.
Signing Off,

Dr.R.Anburajan
